I think Leah and Meadow were actually replaced by Doppelgangers.
And I think I’m next…

What’s that? You think I look pretty comfy for someone who’s worried about Doppelgangers, right?
Well you’d be wrong!
Because that’s NOT me.

But isn’t that Leah, lying right next to the crate?

And isn’t he now hanging out in front of MY sofa? Wearing MY harness?
Chewing MY bone?

And isn’t that The One Named Nick’s hand, giving him – a belly rub?
Bet you just did a double take!
That’s right. There’s TWO of us.

So who is that dog sitting next to me?
My peoples claim it’s Bo, the Labrador I told you about, who is up for adoption through the nice peoples over at the New York State Retriever Rescue.
My peoples also claim he’s just visiting for a week while his foster peoples are on vacation…
But I know the truth.
First he steals the shot, next thing you know he’ll be stealing my life!

Wow – how scary for you! Lucky for me am a rare breed and the next one of me is like an 8 hr drive from here and I am sure we all have out spots in different places. I am sure you won’t be replaced – humans always love the new pet at first but then they realize the old pet is really so much better
Have fun with your visitor rather than viewing him as the enemy.
I keep telling myself, he’s just visiting, he’s just visiting….But really, as long as he leaves my Wubba Kong alone, I can put up with him.
It might be nice to have a pal. Give him a chance Toby.
the brown dawgs
You’re right, he’s not that bad, brown dawgs. I hope he finds a home with another Lab to play with.
Hey Toby,
You said you were looking for new peoples, right? Maybe this is your opportunity. You can switch places with Bo and go back with his peoples.
He’s homeless, cause his peoples didn’t want him. Why do peoples get dogs like us and then not want us anymore?
It would be fun to have doppelganger to take the blame for the mischief we get into. Not that I would get into mischief, but my minions often do.
That’s true….as long as the Doppelganger isn’t evil, like the ones that took over Leah and Meadow.
UH oh! Are they cloning you Toby??? Now that I am thinking of it – it must have been Bo who attacked that tree – right?? (wink, wink) After all he is the Big Bad Bo! Well hopefully you are teaching him some good habits – like that little box he is hanging out in – never saw him do that before and also noticed he seems to like your bed on the floor more than the couch – another good thing! Keep up the good work Toby! And about that tree… we will have to talk later.
Hmmmm….maybe I can blame the tree (and other things…) on Bo. Good idea. Might as well make the most of his visit!
My peoples are teaching him the good habits. You don’t want ME teaching him anything. I have some very bad, very disgusting habits.
Me and Nellie like the notion of zombies. Maybe, it is zombies that do all the naughty things around here and not S.O.D (someotherdoggy). Love Nellie and Jasper, the two bestest maremmas in all the land.
It is a good idea to place the blame on others. Seems you and Miss Lily are on the same page!
Thanks for stopping by the blog and commenting! I love getting comments.
Don’t worry Toby you are irreplaceable! It’s handy having another dog that looks the same though cause it confuses the people long enough to make your get away when you get into trouble.
Thanks Riley & Stella’s peoples. Everyone is telling me this, so I guess I should
go tear up the housemake the most of it while he’s here.Hey Toby,
You may want to password protect your blog and hide the cookies?! Tee Hee
He is super cute though, just like you
You never know, he may be good at Mischief and help you do some great stuff?
Wags to all
Your pal Snoopy
Thanks Snoopy. I will tell the One Named Nick to look into after the storm. Had no idea there was a problem, so thanks for letting me know!
I wish I had thought of that while he was here. Hope he didn’t get any of my info before he left!
I don’t think anyone could replace you!! However just to be sure I maybe wouldn’t show him the blog!!! Donna and the one named Nick defiantly can’t cope on their own with this blogging thing so it may be the hold over them you need!!
Good idea. He actually went back to the rescue group yesterday. Meadow didn’t like him and with the upcoming storm and two storm phobic dogs in a tiny house my peoples didn’t think it was a good idea to have him stay longer.
Sounds like your folks made a very hard but very right decision for all involved! And that is what is the most important I woud not look at this as a foster fail in the slightest!
They tried their best. It’s all we can do, isn’t it?
