Meet Gunner
Update: This Dog Has Been Adopted!
In addition to Bo and Maggie, who are still searching for their furever homes, this week I’d like to introduce you to “Gunner.”
According to the New York State Retriever Rescue, “Gunner is a stunning 1 year old black sable lab. He is very shy but very sweet. His foster family informs us that he just takes a little time to warm up – but once he does, he will be your best buddy and give you plenty of unconditional love. He is a well behaved house guest and enjoys other dogs – but also needs to take his time to get to know them. He has been learning basic commnds – sit, stay, come, walking on leash and doing very well with them all. This sweet boy needs lots of love, attention and affection in his life – are you that person to give it to him? I’ve overheard many of you peoples talk about how you would like to help homeless dogs, but you don’t have time, space, money, (insert excuse here) – and as a Labrador I totally understand. After all, I have all sorts of excuses for not listening to my commands. But sharing is EASY, and I know peoples like things that are easy to do, so if you could find it in your hearts to share this post with your dog loving friends, Gunner would really appreciate it.
Sometimes all it takes is one share to help a dog find their furever home. Could that share be yours? There’s only one way to find out…

I hope Gunner finds a home! I do admit we need a black lab but can’t right now, besides Delilah is too much for his poor boy! You think Leah and Meadow being Zombies is bad? They’ve got nothing on Delilah and she’s not a Zombie!
I bet me and Delilah would get along PERFECT! (especially since she is not, in fact, a zombie.)
I hope he finds his forever home.

It’s a good job you live over the waters and far away, typist would have them all in heart beat – which isn’t practical as her dog is a one dog dog but…..! I will keep everything crossed he gets a home!
My peoples have a hard time saying “No” to new pups too.

I’m not sure. Maybe his coloring is a little off or he is a bit of a mix? I have not met him.
